This work week was 6 days long, but the pay off is that I have a three day long weekend.

It's got its advantages and disadvantages. It's nice to have the time off, but Nick works all weekend, so my weekends off usually end up being incredibly uneventful.

I digress.

I spent the whole morning and afternoon decorating for Christmas. There are still a lot of things to go up because my family has a ridiculous amount of Christmas decorations they've collected over the years.

Note! The tree isn't finished yet, we ran out of ribbon-y stuff. But you get the general idea.

Pixie's( my dog) stocking sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the traditional stockings, but I couldn't not get it for her. It was so fitting.

This is the banister. I know it's totally under exposed, but I really liked the how the lighting showed off the Christmas lights, and it looked so horrible with the flash on.

Also, my parents went out this afternoon briefly and came home with this for Pix.
I'd mentioned I'd seen it out at the drug store last week and they picked the last one up form the store by my house. She loves it, and its hilarious to see her trying to drag it across the livingroom.

Tonight I dropped into Lawtons, and found out they carry NYX make-up.
I've never used it myself, and didn't even think it was available in Canada. I've seen on some blogs that it's a decent product line so I was excited when I saw it on the shelf.
I'm definitely going to be picking some up after Christmas to try out. It was reasonably priced and they have such a pretty range of palettes.

I also came across the new CK perfume for Women at Shoppers tonight. 
I LOVE it. Its fruity and floral. Super pretty scent, and I love the packaging.
They've also got a Men's fragrance out, too. It was okay, but I definitely preferred the Women's to the Men's.

Anyway all in all it was a pretty low key day. Glad I came across those few gems though.
It's always nice to find things you weren't expecting to find.
